A.J. Meerwald Sails Again Delaware Bay, NJ     Commissioned in 1928 as a schooner for oyster dredging on the Delaware Bay, she was restored in 1988 by volunteers and a $215,000 grant from the New Jersey Historic Trust.     Re-christened on September 12, 1995, the schooner is now a sailing classroom for students and the general public promoting ecological and historical awareness of the Delaware Bay region.
